Virginia Reardon executive Secretary in MA is leaving. Planning a night for her at their State Convention. Janice Jordan her replacement is doing a good job.
MA District 3 had a Lobster Roll Off
Gloster Post are starting a Riders. On Saturday April 28th they will have a Run to support 2 Wounded Veterans.
Al Meadows from CT 43 handed out Stickers
Doug Newell suggested that if you have Boy Scouts and they are looking for a Project. Have them Map Local Cemeteries for Veterans.
Dept of MA Commanders Testimonial will be on March 24th. Cost $30.00
National Commander will visit MA from May 3rd to the 6th.
Jim Blake said District 1 has to work as a team on the NSO Problems.

Richard Bonneau reported that CT 43 Members AL Meadows will receive the National AMVET of the year at the Spring NEC.

Dept of Maine to host next District One Meeting
On May 19, 2012 the District 1 meal will be $25.00 per person. Choice of 2 lobsters, or 1 lobster and 1 steak, or 2 steaks. They need to call in their choices by May 10th at the latest so we can have a head count. Please call me ---Dept Commander Henry Peters Jr at 1-207-432-7780 and if no answer leave a voice mail. They can pay the day of the meal or send a check to me Henry Peters Jr AMVETS Dept office PO box 721, Sanford Me 04073. There will be a bus taking everyone from the Merry Manor/Governor's to Sanford Post 3 for the meal and a night of great entertainment. Remind them that they need to make Hotel reservations by May 1st.
