Freedoms Foundation

    It’s not too early to begin scouting for this year’s potential candidates to attend the Freedoms Foundation in Valley Forge.  The Service Foundation is prepared to send 3 students this November.  Because of restrictions enforced by some airlines, we’re unable to send anyone under 15 years old.

Initially we decided to send four instead of two because in the past two years we sent none.  This means that this year we can send three without jeopardizing our budget.  That’s because we budget to send two per year.  As a results of two zero years then this last year with only three, we’re able to send 3 this year.

Department Lapel Pins

    Department of Maine AMVET Pins are still available.  These pins feature the state of Maine inside a Christmas Wreath, with the AMVET Logo and a banner with the dates 2011/12.  This is the last year we will have the 2011/12 pins available.  Pins are $2.00 each.  Don’t miss out.  They are a great “give-away” for special people, notable events, and new members at your post.
