Today marks 7 years since I was injured.

Hello Fellow Americans,

Seven years ago today I set my rucksack down on a routine patrol. That decision changed my life forever.

As we look back on that day, all I can say is that I’m thankful. I’m thankful for the medics who saved my life, the troops who got me out of harm’s way, the staff who helped rehabilitate me at Walter Reed, friends, and most importantly, my family.

Without my family, surviving that day wouldn’t have been possible… and the days ahead wouldn’t be worthwhile. I’ve been able to watch Chloe grow and have been blessed to grow our family with Kelsey by my side. We welcomed Dax in August of 2017. Since 2012, I’ve been able to travel the country sharing my journey as a motivational speaker to thousands of proud Americans like you.

It has not been an easy journey, but the impact of one hot day in the desert changed more than just my life. Many of you have personally lightened the load on the recovery process, and after helping me, helped even more people with the Travis Mills Foundation. With what only started as an idea, has now become a reality.

Family, friends, and supporters around heard my story and stepped up to the plate. You knew that there are thousands more recalibrated veteran families out there who have faced the same adversity, and you helped me to help them.

Your help has not only pushed me forward, but it has given me the motivation to continue the mission of the Travis Mills Foundation. Helping recalibrated veterans, just like myself. Thank you so much for all of your support.
